ToYou – Rebuilding our microsites (Case Study)
Following a recent acquisition of the Asda business estate, we have been tasked with re-platforming all of our digital products into a new stack. One of the things I have been working through is our suite of microsites that sit alongside the main Asda grocery website.
Using this project as a test bed for future microsites, we kicked things off by performing a UX audit of the current live site to identify all of the common components and patterns but also any areas where the UX was falling short in things like accessibility (AA standard) and general usability.
We then were able to present back to our internal stakeholders to recommend what can be purely ‘lift and shift’ but also the quick wins we would be able to do to improve consistency in the Asda ecosystem, pass AA standard accessibility and correct usability across the core journeys.
